I have a Fli-Jet portable.. Now as I understand it some come with a discharge hose. Mine did not so I have 50 feet of 3/4 inch garden hose BLACK (you can use larger hose if it's a long run but 3/4 is good for 50-100 feet if I read the instructions correctly) NOTE the hose is BLACK for .. obvious reasons.
I first give the drive shaft a twist (Seems it always sizes up and you need to give it a twist to free it) the shaft extends all the way through the motor. you can use any flat tool (Quarter) to give it a twist.. Hook up the hose run the hose to the clean out/hole in the ground. (I made a fitting for there directions follow two types) and hook it up to the bayonet fitting on the RV (Same as I do my Tetford Sentenal) and plug it in (i have a 12 volt connection nearby.> Should have put it closer but it's close enough)
Turn it on and open the BLACK valvee.. then when it runs dry I open the gray for a bit. close it and let it run dry again. I'll do this a couple times then finally close the black, open the gray and let it run out
On the side of the Flo-Jet is a fresh water inlet with backflow preventer and valve. I've already hooked up a fresh supply to that.. once the gray is empty I open that valve and let it fill with fresh and pump that through the waste hose for a bit to clean it. Then unhook, rinse off if needed (not often) and stow for next time.
The adapter
If your clean out has a THREADED plug you simply use the proper plumbing adapters down to female garden hose
Since I'm often pumping into a non-threaded hole in the ground either too far for 3" or too high
I took the proper size flower pot. drilled a hole in the bottom (you can drill 2 if you like.. Reason for 2nd follows) and shoved some PVC down the hole and sealed it with glue. then filled the pot with concrete mix.. On the top end of the PVC is a right angle adapter and the proper garden hose fitting
Why two. Well I have a 2nd "Gray" (really wash) tank so that would be for the 2nd tank.
