It says it will handle 600w at 24v but 300 at 12v. the trouble is that 42v limit which is less than those watts limits suggest. I see the Voc on the Hanwha 250w panel is 38v instead of the 37 for the 230w I have. Sharp's 250w is 38.3v.
Getting close to 42v, but I think the 250 should work ok down to reasonable temps. It is panel temp too, not ambient.
JiminDenver camps on top of Pike's Peak or someplace weird at 10,000 ft above the clouds at 32F, so he is rightly twitchy about going over his 230.
Hey, if enough of us get these, we can out-vote all those MorningStar snobs on this forum! :)
Probably the warning means more to those who have several 12v panels in series
