You are allowed to have two solar sets in one trailer, both portable, including the controller being portable. Just need a form of quick connects on the wires. (I use alligator clamps and wire nuts, but there are more elegant ways available)
You can have two controllers on one battery bank or two separate banks each with a controller. You can swap which bank has which controller. You can swap which array has which controller on which bank. You can have two battery banks but sometimes link them into one big bank.
You can choose your set-up for each camping location and which RV you have at the time.
I do like the idea of having a power supply cargo trailer as the "portable" you can just plug the RV into, but we can't double tow. Advantage is the solar wiring can be all short fat, no long run of DC wire from the portable over to the RV and more space in the RV for other things.
