Seems that some folks do.
An increase of X db = 10^(X/10) increase in sound. Honda rates their generator at 52 - 57 dB.. At 52dB the Honda is 15 dB quieter, which is 10^(15/10) = 10^1.5 = 31.6 times quieter. At 57 dB, it would be 10^(10/10) = 10^1 = 10 times quieter. Now human hearing may not be linear, but that is how much noise the generator is producing. Any way you look at it, 10-15 dB is a huge difference in noise.
