Range hood fan speed control

Finally after years of stinking up my coach with cooking odors and using the bedroom fan for kitchen exhaust, I'm getting around to this:

Nice job, don't you think? :) No.. it took me a couple hours just to get the wires in the right place. Those other wires are for the light.

This is the Speed controller. Works great.

  • in my first TT I used a car heater variable switch to control the speed of the fan
  • I replaced the OEM range hood fan in our coach with this SilverStone High Performance Fan. It comes with a speed control, but I found it to be so quiet on full speed that I didn't use it. In fact, it's so quiet that I added an LED indicator next to the power switch to remind us it's turned on. It draws easily as well as the noisy OEM fan.

If you don't need two of them here is one: PWM
Thanks. I got two in case I burned one up! Or it burns itself out.
