I bought one of these http://www.walmart.com/ip/Magic-Chef-Portable-Ice-Maker-MCIM22TW/13308699

And then I got a deal from a friend for $35 for the same unit.
I can crank them both up and realistically get 8 pounds when the bins are full.
It drops ice every 9 minutes. Thats enough to fill coolers when needed.
