It's interesting that another new trailer with the same configuration doesn't make the noise.
The trailer is brand new, so it's not worn shackles, but the noise is coming from the shackles, according to the dealership, and this will "wear off" after some use. To us, metal grinding on metal can never be a good thing.
We're going to have to take it out again and see if the lubrication has helped. It's frustrating because we have to take the dealerships word for it at this point. Noise is subjective - to us, the amount of noise it's making is unacceptable; to the dealer, it's normal. I guess we will be in touch with Jayco if it continues. Hate to have to go down that road with a new trailer.
