We had a Dometic that we could not adjust the temperature on that would freeze the food in the refrigerator. The freezer always worked fine.
Moving the thermistor on the fin is not a good adjustment method.
We replaced the thermistor with an adjustable thermistor found online. It is basically a thermistor with adjustable resistor in series to allow temperature adjustment. That was 4 years ago and it was only $21. Best thing we ever did.
