Real low price on PV panels

Looking at the ad, that is a pallet price. Individual panels are $79.

If I lived in the great republic of California and could do local pickup, I won't be dissuaded by lack of warranty. The specs on these look great, and Sharp has a positive track record in the technology.

Of course, I'd want to hand pick panels that hadn't been all beat up by an over zealous contractor uninstalling them from someone's rooftop.

Just got a price correction email from solarblvd on these. Now it's 32 cents a watt.

I had a module shipped from Norco, CA. I was told later, the shipping price would have been the same for two.

I don't care much about warranties. It would probably cost me the same shipping price to get the module back into the vendor's hands.

I thought Sharp had a fairly good reputation with their panels. The specifications seem pretty generic re construction.

Ya what gives... shipping says they are 150lbs each but the add says they are 44lbs. That's a lot of packaging. :( $399 for shipping 3 to VA. plus the cost of the panel. Free store pickup though.

Here on the Pacific it's $152 for shipping 3 all the way to WA. A normal shipping cost for something that big. It does indeed say 150 lbs when you calculate shipping, but this must be a plug-in to make for "dimensional" surcharge.

Yes, they are big. My 250W are same size and weight, and you pretty much need same 30-40A MPPT for 2 of them.

Be aware that Sharp terms say differently. The panels do not appear to be under warranty unless they're just a change of ownership in the same install location. I'd get something in writing or get it clarified...

Sharp makes good panels, this may still be a good deal, but don't expect the remainder of the warranty here.
