It's usually more efficient to connect any number of modules through the same charge controller, distributing the power through mechanical termination. What I'm meaning is that you don't need to dedicate one module to the house batteries and one to the chassis battery.

Schedule/location of wiring is usually not an issue. Look through the link posted of member installs for ideas. The best location for the charge controller is adjacent to the batteries.
