Just went through this last week. After many dealers telling me I needed to replace my Dometic fridge because the cooling coils leaked, and that was going to be by no means cheap. I figured I would do some research myself. I did find many options, there are a lot of companies offering rebuilt coils but I was hesitant on them because I want to keep my rig for a while without future issues with the fridge. The warranty on the rebuilt coils for the most part wasn't as good as the new aftermarket ones. I found two companies that offer new coils, the amish company and a company called arcticold. The deciding factors for me was price and warranty. So after calling arcticold and they explained to me that is was quite easy to change the unit, I decided to buy one of their lifetime warranty units. Anyways long story short, got the unit within 3 days and install went great (yes I read the instructions), fridge is working excellent now. Let me tell you one thing, I understand why they can put a lifetime warranty on it. Is is HEAVY DUTY compared to the one that I took out.
