the 12V (3 way) can run down your battery really fast if not being charged either by the 12V RV battery (inverter?) or 110 from outside. To me, an unnecessary part than simply isn't worth it. Can be trouble. MY OPINION.
Electric/gas...run the gas when on the road....it doesn't use all that much...propane will keep the fridge running for at least 5 days if boondocking...providing your coach batteries are good. (for the 12V control board) MY EXPERIENCE
And, FWIW how about the new fad? Household fridges? Might work good...but how do you turn them off?
