This model is also very vulnerable to high voltage- there is a large resistor on the bottom of the board- near the fuse, IIRC. This resistor will burn up with a voltage of anything over ~135 volts.
OK, I didn't know what it was but this resistor that you are talking about at the very bottom of the board looks blackened on one end. Would this indicate that it is burnt up? If so, can the resistor be replaced or would I need to replace the entire board?
