Sounds like a bad circuit board. Sometimes it can be a connection on a wire that is loose or corroded also. We have had both as the cause for various wierd problems with the frig. Also check battery. If everything is clean and connections all look good, you could try unplugging both the AC and DC power cords from the outside. Let sit a few minutes - plug DC back in, then AC - sometimes the board will reset and operate correctly after doing this -- at least ours did.
