Refrigerator won't acknowledge AC
I thought I had an issue at one point with my electric element in my fridge so I took it out to test it. I had a neighbor test it with a meter and he said it seemed fine so I hooked up a plug-in end to the wires and plugged it in to AC. It got hot fast!
Since all the tests seemed to work out, I re-installed the element. Now the fridge will not even acknowledge the fact that the camper is plugged into AC. With the switch on "auto" mode, it just jumps right to LP mode and fires up the LP burner just as if there was no power to the camper.
Everything else works on AC and I checked all the breakers and fuses in the panel. I also switched the 2 wires from the element back and forth a couple of times but it does not make a difference. There is power to the outlet that is behind the fridge, outside.
Anyone have any ideas? I have been googling but come up with nothing.
