Regulated propane quick connect -who connects what?

My third trailer. All have a propane quick connect underneath the camper to plug in accessories. What do people use this for? Stove? BBQ? Anything else? Why can't you find stuff to plug into these ...

Camco connector. I have a BBQ grill and also a gas firepit. However, Some are not set up. Either take regulator off youself or like the Lowes firepit I took a connector to a propane dealer and they made up the hose. Only Camco connectors seem to fit. The Lowes firepit has the regulator crimped to the hose.
