What modification besides a hose without a regulator. anything that runs off a bulk propane tank will run off the connection.
Not true. The equipment itself must not have an additional regulator, in other words be designed to run off the low pressure. If not the regulator must be removed which is not always possible if it is integral to the control/shutoff valve. There is a very small selection of ready made, low pressure equipment.
