Thanks for everyone's comments! Great food for thought! One clarifying point, I will not at any point be running a genny. I don't own one and don't plan on having to get one. With that in mind though, I'm a little surprised... I don't know why most of you fine folks are so big on converters? As BFL and a few others have pointed out, a converter does nothing for you unless you've got shore power. And if you have shore power, then you can connect your charger, which given the loads I'll be pulling from my batteries, will be able to recharge my batteries much faster than I'll be discharging them. I suppose I could keep the converter, but adding an inverter is a must, so I would prefer to get rid of the converter so I don't need to worry about a cycle loop draining my batteries when I'm dry camping.
Alright, I think I'm sold on a PSW. I still don't like the idea of doubling my budget, so understanding you pay for what you get, has anyone ever owned one of these?
Reviews seem pretty decent and the price is right.
