Alright, so I opted for a more beefed up charger. This charger has more juice to charge up my batteries and is also intelligent.
I'm also opting for an affordable pure sine wave inverter that was suggested. I can get it for $150 here in Canada.

I'll be putting the inverter in when it arrives. I'll have to think about whether I want to keep my converter. It doesn't hurt to have it in there and I can just switch off the converter on the breaker panel when I'm using the inverter. It is much less wiring work to keep it in there so it may stay for the short term.
