Yeah, I felt OK about the Separator till I saw it bearing on the brake inside the inner dual. Our steel wheels were stuck. Front came off without much trouble, rear outers were pretty tight, rear inners were miserable. I put 2*4 against the tire and beat till the wood broke. Finally used a 3-ft piece of 4*6 post like a battering ram and broke them loose. Prevention: Some clean and paint the surfaces, spray cold galvanizing, or spread grease. NevRSeez would probably do it. I found an extra hole between two of the eight lug holes. It's about 7/16" and I threaded them 1/2" NF like a small trailer lug bolt. Now I can tread a lug into those holes and use a 3/4" socket to tighten down, forcing the wheel loose. Just make sure the holes in outer and inner wheels aren't lined up or you'll screw them together instead of force them apart...
