Had an associate. Told him to MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE he turned off the armature growler BEFORE removing the armature off of the growler lamination's. He thought I was joking. Sure enough, off came the armature while the growler was still powered. Don't know how long it took to advance from well-done to carbonized. It was a hundred and sixty dollar bitter lesson for him. He loved that growler. So before I loaned it to him again, he had to pay for an Intermatic spring wound five minute timer.
