?? 100w will run my fantastic fan full speed, a couple of lights and recharge my battery from overnight usage by mid-morning on a partly cloudy day. Not everyone uses a lot of power ;-)
Your controller should have identifying information on it, search for the user manual. Mine has an optional external temp sensor which would be attached near the battery to handle temp compensation.
Also check for a battery compartment on the controller, mine has a slide opening on the top for a CR1220 battery. If you want to keep your settings (date/time/tweaks) after disconnecting from the battery you'll likely need one.
I like ours, provides everything we need.. except the A/C of course, for that we have to fire up the genny.
