Do you mean an inverter or an inverter-generator? I do have a big inverter.

You say you already have a large inverter and cables, so this is your cheapest short term solution.
And you do not NEED 4-6 hours of charging, per day. What you need is a larger charger... at least 75a for that 400Ah bank. Then you could do a 50-85% (140Ah's) in about 2 hours.
But seeing as you have a 30 amper, you could split things up and do two 70-88% (70Ah's each) in 2hrs 20min each.
But once you get home, do a good top charge to true FULL.
