Assuming you either just turned off the CONV breaker or disconnected the wire from it and ran a new wire from it to the PD9260.... There is another advantage to keeping the old converter in place.
HEAVEN forbid your 9260 ever fail ..... Instant back up till you get a new one.
FACT: my coach has a 9180 with optional wizard, the Converter is a plug in model (not hard wired)
From time to time I snag the plug when doing other things and,,, well you know it just does not work well when unplugged for some reason :).
Well, usually, I figure that out about 3am when I visit the head (There is a voltage monitor there) and there is NO WAY I am getting dressed, going outside and plugging that sucker back in till daylight.
So what do I do.. I go to the remote panel for my Xantrex Prosine 2.0,, I mean it has a decent 3-stage converter in it (Small issue with a leaky pass transistor but hey we can live (Short term) with that) Flip the CHARGER switch to ON, and go back to bed... Next AM I flip back to off and plug in the 9180
