Replacing HEHR torque operator

I am trying to replace a HEHR torque operator (http://www.rvwindow.com/Motorhome_Product_Details.aspx?productID=6647)
in a 1993 Winnebago Vectra. the problem I'm having is I cannot figure out how to remove the old one!
it seems like it is riveted and not screwed. also there doesn't seem to be any give to remove the bar that goes across and into it even after removing the window pane from it.
Any ideas??

thanks

  • thanks for the replies. I may just live with it as his at this point.
Not sure how I would remove the rivet, especially the top one...
  • Did both of mine 2 years ago- What a pain for a $10 part.
They are screwed in from the bottom of the frame. I removed the valance and all of the trim on the inside- then removed all of the screws on the inside frame and removed it. Gently push out on the bottom of the window to break the seal- remove the 3 screws from the outside and install the new one- I resealed my windows with non- self leveling Dicor.
    Hope this helps.
