Replacing propane regulator

I'm trying to find a dual-stage propane regulator and hoses to replace the rotten old dual-tank setup in my camper with a single tank.

The only local sources for parts I can find are Tractor Supply and Camping World, but neither place has anything that will work for me.

The only dual-stage regulator they have that isn't some auto-changeover piece of junk doesn't have any hoses or fittings, and no way to mount it to anything.

Even if I can figure out a way to mount the regulator, they don't have hoses to fit it. In order to connect hoses to the regulator, and the regulator to the camper, I'll need a bunch of adapter fittings that neither place has. The hoses they stock don't even thread into the regulator they stock!

So what's a guy to do? I'm trying to do this "right" so the propane boogeyman doesn't get me.

  • Last time I did business with them, Brad's Trailer was open from 8:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday.

I work from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday on the opposite side of town.

People wonder why mom & pop shops can't make it... THAT is why: By opening after most people are at work and closing before most people get off work!

Not taking a 1/2 day off work just for some propane fittings.
  • Since you're in Rochester, have you tried Brad's Trailer on Lyell Ave?
  • have you tried your local hardware store, like ACE? I had some luck sourcing hoses and adapters from them, but I bought my regulator from amazon.
  • Did you check Agri-Supply, they have a lot more propane hoses and regulators.
