Yes, they are flat on two sides. The ones on there now don't have that lock washer but that certainly looks like it would stop the spinning and at least help with the compression. Is that something you would usually buy separate from the locks themselves?
I agree that if someone wants to get in to something, they'll get in but that doesn't seem to be a reason for everyone to have the same key, or no locks at all. I mean all cars and houses are not keyed the same right? By the way I keep a set of keys for the trailer hidden in my truck and a key for my truck in the trailer. Don't ask me why...... (I'll give you a hint, you can lock the trailer door with it open and then close it and it'll be locked).
