Not a tech, but if you have a cable, it usually ends up being cable ends that are the issues and most of the time those can be replaced to adapt. I'm thinking both ends will have to be changed out. Check specs on everything and ASK the tech crew at a dealership...or two. Or some electrical tech guy will chime in here soon.
