Replacing the sink faucet

I had a good project this weekend. I changed the kitchen faucet in my Bounder. Every thing was pretty straight forward. I only had a couple of stumbling blocks. I needed to get a couple of adapters to hook up the water lines and the center hole in the sink needed to be ground out a little. The problem is the base of the faucet was a little wider than the lip/flange on the back of the sink I could have sanded down the flange, it would have been easy with a belt sander. I decided to grind a notch in the center hole of the sink that the water hoses come through to allow the faucet to set flat. I am really happy with the new faucet it is higher and has a pull out head with a spray feature. I think this is a great upgrade and wish I had done it sooner.

  • Been there, done that. I even had shutoffs installed under the sink. The gooseneck makes washing dishes so much easier.

I did this in our 1973 Sportscoach. It is a great upgrade. In fact, I liked it so much, I replaced the kitchen faucet in the house with the same unit. Then when one failed, I swapped the head from the other, and called the manufacturer, who replaced a 13 year old faucet for free! They didn't have that model, so they sent another one - equivalent.
