RGV Television Reception

I am presently in Alamo, TX.
My antenna is the original batwing crank-up style, television is Vizio 32" HD.
Reception is OK most of the time but some times it is wavers from good to poor. Wavy lines and static.
What might I try to eliminate this?

    I have the Winegard batwing, and I added the Wingman to the antenna head and then also replaced the signal booster outlet with the Sensar Pro. Assuming you have a digital tuner in the Vizio, you can greatly increase your ability to pull in HD digital broadcast signals.
