Riddle Me This Batman; Low Frequency Hum: SOLVED

...in the sticks and bricks that is. In one of our rear bedrooms, if you stand in a certain spot, there is a low frequency hum that can be heard. Drives the wife crazy. Not loud, but a soft hum....

That link has some merit but the point they make about conditions in ones ear leading to the hearing of a hum in not applicable IMO because both my wife and I hear the same thing and my wife's hearing is much better than mine.
