November is warm in Mexico. The battery was in the shade and its temperature was right where it should, 25C=77F, measured by the on-battery sensor and shown on Rogue 3048 display. Sometimes it was 1 or 2C up or down, and then setpoints were automatically adjusted from default 25C values by 0.05mV per cell per 1C, this controller does it.
Battery voltage was sensed with a separate wire going to separate terminals of the controller, so voltage drop was not an issue either, currents were low under 10A. Controller-battery wire was #8(?) booster cable taken from truck, 10ft. I understand that with voltage sense wire the controller shows the actual battery voltage, doesn't matter how much is voltage drop after controller.
It was at 25C that equalization voltage on starter FLA hit the "brick wall" at 15V. And it was at 23-26C that charging current on small FLA couldn't drop below 1A, and 100AH AGM - below 1.5A.
