The Rogue controllers are very nice, they outclass the Eco-worthy no questions asked. Had my panels been matched I would have be using the original 30a right now.
That said, I have been using a Eco-worthy for a year while camping with a 230w 24v panel charging a 12v bank quite happily. If you know something about the Eco-worthy that the users should know then spit it out. Saving money is one thing, safety is another.
Truthfully I have no experience with the Ecoworthy. I've read some comments about it and have seen the specs. I make it a policy not to knock another design unless there's a reason to, so without getting my hands on one I can't say much about it from a technical standpoint.
The input voltage limit is one concern. I don't know how far beyond 42v you have to go to damage something, but most typical 24v panels will be sitting very close to that one way or the other, and will certainly exceed that in cold climates. It may be able to handle some stress for a while and then fail...hard to say without knowing just how much safety margin they built in.
The internal temp sensor is also kind of peculiar, and I don't see how that can function well as a battery temp sensor, especially if you load that controller to its 600w maximum and it starts heating up.
I'm not really in the business of reviewing other brands of controllers, but I would be happy to offer a little more perspective if I can see some internal pics of it.
