Rooftop AC unit install - Dicor around gasket?

I recently replaced the roof vent on my truck camper with an AC unit. All the installation videos I've seen show the foam gasket being installed "dry" with no caulk. Would there be any benefit ...

Hello mkirsch!

Thank you for your question. It is important that you do not use a bead of Dicor Ultra Sealant around the base of the gasket. This will deteriorate the foam gasket, as Newman Fulltimer pointed out.
