Rooftop AC unit install - Dicor around gasket?

I recently replaced the roof vent on my truck camper with an AC unit. All the installation videos I've seen show the foam gasket being installed "dry" with no caulk. Would there be any benefit ...

My gut was telling me no. Thanks for the confirmation everyone.

I'm pretty confident that I haven't over-crushed the gasket. There are depth gauges on the gasket in each corner to indicate maximum gasket crush, and I stopped just slightly before those bottomed out on the roof of the camper.
