Ruler readings???
14.17 in. What would that reading be on a ruler? 14 1/2--143/4 etc etc piston length. need to know how long this piston is... see 3rd diagram...

Take the decimal portion only, in this case .17, and multiply it by a medium accuracy measurement, say 16ths. So in this case, 16 x 0.17 = 2.72. So that would be 2.72 / 16ths.
If that’s not close enough move up to higher accuracy units, for example, 64ths would be 64 x 0.17 = 10.88 / 64ths. So that would be 14 and 10.88 / 64ths.
