I have a Morning Star PWM 45 connected up to 428 watts full time. I also connect to shore power. It was explained to me that the morning star is a battery charger and when connected up to shore power and charging, the Morning Star will sense that and throttle back to nothing going to the batteries and that its one way, meaning no power goes back up to the panels.
