We head South (retired) and added more panels. Just thinking about Winter camping in Northern Alberta makes me shiver.
To the OP, back when our only 120VAC charger was a WFCO at 13.6V, I thought that was too high for floating the batts. So would disconnect them from the WFCO and let the Solar charger maintain them at 13.2V. Otherwise, everything worked fine together.
