The reasoning behind my initial question is because I like to go up into the mountains, boondocking while being out and about during the day. I am usually by myself and boondocking is preferred. I much prefer the thought of not having to run a generator for battery recharge as I would like to sit around in the evening listening to the sounds of nature versus... almost anything else.
When my wife and I, and family, are out using the TT, she generally prefers to be at a RV park with FHUs. Example is we as a family took two weeks and did all of Utah's National Parks this past July. It was hot so having electric running the AC was required. Add that it is easier with water/sewage for a family of 4, with two women, :).
I just wanted to make sure of some minor specifics prior to doing the installation. It was good to understand running both the solar and shore power or solar and generator is not an issue. Also good to know about my initial solar DC disconnect switch position mentioned is not really in a proper location. I am readdressing the disconnect and really glad to know about disconnecting the solar panels from the charge controller before any other disconnect in the circuit. This is just another example of why the experience on this forum is valuable.
I'm truly excited to get this solar installed and thanks to all who provided feedback!
