Hi Bill,

It sounds to me as if your 8D batteries may be a bit sulphated. They should be able to sustain you more than just one night. You should have 800 amp-hours total, and 400 amp-hours useable (or more if you ignore the 50% guide line).

You should be able to run 4.8 kilowatt hours and be at 50% SOC.
