RV solar installer in Northeast ??

Are there any reputable RV solar installers in the Northeast or New England?

  • Rbertlo, since you are coming to Arizona, there is no sales tax on solar products in state, and quite a few RV solar installers that do quality work. I wouldn't put any trust in an RV shop doing a solar install, especially the wiring, you know the routine, cheap and dirty.
  • Thank You......I’m taking off on Monday for a few months....going to Texas, NM, AZ and CA.

Will think more about it when I get back.

Thanks folks. I actually have a real nice system I installed on my 20’ trailer that works great. Other than AC, I never use the generator.

Why I asked is I’m thinking about offering this service up here in NEw England. I’ve been involved with electronics and 12 volt marine and auto systems for over 40 years. I enjoy the RV community and thought it might be something to offer in my retirement...( been retired exactly one week and already look8ng for something to do........can’t sit still!)

Like anything put the word out and they will come. You did a nice job on your install. :)

  • Somewhere I read/heard that the typical RV roof isn't big enough for the solar panels to provide enough power to do anything AND they are very expensive to buy and install.
If you refer to the following website the Wynns installed a system for $4K. https://www.gonewiththewynns.com/solar-power

A friend had solar installed at (I think) Majors RV in Bourne, MA.

Yep Major's does it. Had mine done last spring. They have 100 watt panel, controllers, inverters etc. This is a good time to do it. The shop isn't very busy.
  • Howdy, I am from MA also. Don't know of any Solar installers for RV's anywhere.
  • It’s not difficult to do yourself. Hardest part for me was routing the wires nicely.
