Sure... Probably upper 70-s to low 80-s if closer than 25ft. Everybody's hearing is different, but upper 70-s is what many consider "annoyingly loud", IIRC.
Actually I ran a number of sound test on the older 3500/4000 we had from different distances and positions. At 21 feet it was pretty constant at 68 DB. Double the distance and you drop to the low 50s. Double that again and you can hear a near by bird sing. By then the DB app was reading 35-40 DB and a bird call, some wind in the trees and even a jet overhead would peak the meter above the generator noise. So at 100 feet it isn't obnoxious but it is still very annoying.
Doesn't the Royobi have a eco switch? It's pretty unfair to champion one generator because of how quiet it is while in ECO mode and then only deal with the full load noise of another.
