AllegroD that wireless remote control does work good. I had a Dometic RM1350 in a slide in my last 5er and the heat build up in the back was bad. I used that exact same remote to turn on and off a fan I installed in the back to help move the hot air out. The fridge had 2 small computer size fans in the back but were not enough. If I could get to the back and plug of this RF18 I would probably try it, but its in a tight slide and a heavy fridge that sits up in the slide, so would need 4 or 5 weight lifters or some type of crane to get it out. And you would have to get it all the way out to get to the plug.
happytorv,the inverter is behind a wall in the basement of the 5er. Its a 2020 grand design Solitude. I took the wall down, 4 wood screws a couple weeks ago to see what all's back there. Real mess of wires, cable, piping and the hot water tank, along with the converter & inverter. The inverter probably has an on/off switch but I didn't notice when I was into it. Wasn't looking to turn off the fridge at that time.
I will try the push button thing from the Samsung web site. If it works ok, if not then I will just let it run...
