Since we have a teardrop trailer we do not have the typical RV fridge. Our Waeco 120VAC 12VDC has the form factor of a large cooler/ice chest.
Compressor driven, no problems.
I have heard of "Amish" replacement units that work and are built to last.
There are how ever more than a few problems and at least one death
