Yes, well worth the money. It will give you exact readings like temperature so when hill climbing you know if the temp is going up instead of looking at a dumb idiot gauge that doesn't tell you too much until it's too late.
Depending on your MH, it will also give you the transmission temp and the air intake temp. If the intake air is climbing, the engine temp might well climb - this will give you advance warning.
You can have it set to give you four readings on the small screen at the same time. I usually have it set on engine temp, transmission temp, air intake temp and voltage.
