Scissor Jack Bearings

Have you contacted BAL? I checked Amazon and their banded bearings "by INA" were as expensive as the ones linked at Grainger. Go to yard sales and look for scissor jacks? There are Scissors Jacks at Amazon that don't cost any more than the bearing! Unless the mfr cheaped out and didn't use a thrust bearing.

You can buy them here Thrust bearings but they are not cheap. You can buy the whole jack for what these cost. Maybe you can find them cheaper somewhere else. They are called banded ball thrust bearings.
