sealed beam headlights

My Harney coach has the sealed beam headlights. The high beam is great but, the low beam is almost worthless.
I am thinking about changing them to LED's and was wondering if anyone else has already did this. If so how did it work and was there much improvement.
Bulbs are $139.00 a pair on Amazon. Not cheap but may be worth it.
Thanks for your response

  • You cannot change a bulb on a sealed beam headlight, the whole glass headlight is a bulb.
  • Sure they're sealed beams? Sealed beams are the old type of headlight that you need to replace the whole thing, not just the bulb. Any headlight will lose its brightness over time. If they're a few years old consider replacing them anyway.
  • Generally just changing the bulbs in a headlight fixture does very little good because it's the optics and reflectors that determine how well they work.
