Sealing smooth-bor water fill hose to tank?

I'm not worried about leakage at the outside fill.
There is a hose that runs from the back of that fill fixture, through the camper, to the actual inlet of the tank. That junction at the tank inlet is leaking.
I guess I could throw a sealant in there, there was none on the original.
