I have a big box of Craftsman tools but the lifetime warranty doesn't scare me. I have so many, I'd never exchange them all. If the warranty went away and I needed another hand tool, I'd buy a different brand.
The upsetting thing is that, for appliances, their parts Dept's can't be beat. You can have an "O" ring fail in a 15 yr old water softener or an igniter fail in a Kenmore range and order those on the phone or pick them up in one of their parts outlets. My local outlets stock a huge inventory of Kenmore parts.
