I took a malfunctioning 3/8 ratchet back and they gave me a reconditioned cheaply made model with someones initials carved in it. When I objected, I was told take it or leave it. My thought is that it time for them to go.
S0-what do you do about guys buying broken Craftsman tools at garage sales-taking them to Sears for new ones?
Seems to me-they are the ones who spoiled it for everyone else.
Either Sears stands behind the Craftsman warranty or they don't. These yard sale guys own a Craftsman product, why shouldn't the warranty be honored?
Sears got paid unless the tools were stolen.
Let's go over this. I go to a garage sale and buy a broken wrench for .50 cents. I then go to Sears and trade it in for a new $10.00 wrench.
I guess you and I have a moral gap.
Makes no difference to Sears if someone returns a broken tool for a new one or if they sell it to someone else for 50 cents and they return it for a new one. Either way, there was a broken tool that was replaced.
